Only a few lucky bastards can get GT2 and really live life the way it should.
On a drag strip any jerkwad can probably run a 12
I would be scared to see it hitting the twistes.
Pretty fast.

My Z06 will be here in January and have had a few chuclkes over the debate in this thread. I have driven a friends C6 Z06 and the power is amazing, all of us should comment only after you have driven one; not on the looks, interior, blah blah blah.
Everyone here is so into protecting their own brand they end up fighting about very subjective things, exactly the same thing happens on corvetteforum.com and digitalcorvettes.com. I drove a 2004 GT2 before buying my TurboS and it was amazing, but IMO the GT2 prices are close to a low mileage 360 and not worth the money.

I do not agree with your statement about the GT2 versus a Ferrari, they are diff. type's of cars and a person looking for a fast and rare Porsche would not be looking at a low mileage Ferrari, at least that's what I think.
As far as all the negative things said about the Vette, it is typical (as you said) on every board I guess. Everyone loves what they have and try to protect it, however personally I think that the Vette will always be just that a corvette and after all these years Chevy may have gotten it right, good for them, will I race one when I see on e YOU BET, whatever happens happens, I know my car and know how to drive it will the other guy lets hope so. On the other hand we shall see what Porsche brings to the table with the 997 TT and hate to speculate as up to now all we have seen/read is just that speculation from magazine spies etc. who really are just guessing to keep selling their magazine. I am not a fan of a sport car made by Chevy besides the muscle cars and probably never will be as I love and cherish my GT2, I am helping GM out though I have currently a GMC Denali in my stable that my wife drives and will probably be looking to replace it with the new model in the spring time !
Just my .03 cents

Did anyone ever determine who owns that GT2 that demolished that Z06? Do we even know if he is a member of this forum?
Would the Z06 slayer please step forward and tell us about your trashing of the mighty C6 Z06? It would be great to hear your side of the story. Was it only a 10 car lead or was it actually more?

C6 Z06 vs GT2 - Last Tuesday
I was at Willow last Tuesday and we had a new Z06 (Watt) drag race a 2002 GT2 (Carl). I believe Carl's GT2 is stock. They made 4 runs up the straight, rolling 2nd gear starts. Results were mixed, really looked like whoever got the jump won. The Z06 pulled early but the GT2 seemed to gain at the end. I would say pretty close to a dead heat.
Maybe Watt and Carl can comment what they saw from the car.
