mine,too!

Mine comes up as a Boxster, too. When I was getting insurance quotes it really confused the agents... and then when I'd say "that is too cheap, it must cost more than that", they would try and give me Carrera 911 rates. I think the CGT was so new and limited it was not in any of their rate tables.

Question: The insurance company records your cars as boxters. What happens if you get in an accident, and the estimate to repair it is more than a new boxter costs? Will they call your CGTs totalled?

That's why I made sure they knew what it cost and they put in writing for me that it is a CGT. My policy also reads correctly.

I was just wondering. I was laughing at the insurance cockup and then realized that the insurance company will cover what they have listed, not what's in the garage.

ROCKCENTER is infamous around these parts
funny to hear that... my '05 Boxster insurance quote showed up unusually high (!!!!!!) so I called and they gave me the great news - I had a Carrera GT!!! I was overjoyed until I went outside to discover my Boxster was still there. Apparently my VIN number was for a CGT - possibly yours?

Bad news for you, baby - it IS a Boxster! Good news: because it's the season for giving, I'm going to give you a cool hunski to take that pos off your hands. Send me your bank info, I'm going to wire the funds to you right now.

Merry Christmas!
