Fabspeed muffler (cup) bypass pipes, sounds insaneeeeeeee
Very true, but very loud for day to day. Weight savings of approx 50lbs net is not bad either. I have them and will have difficulty replacing unless I can find a reasonable lightweight solution. I'm thinking PSI or Manthey headers/exhaust/ecu upgrade would be the ticket.

Let me ask you, how do the fabspeed bypass pipes on the GT3 sound compared to a turbo, i would imagine the NA motor would amplify it ALOT and make it scream much more, but everyone says dont do the muffler bypass pipes on my turbo , i have cat bypass pipes right now and the sound is quiet compared to my straight pipe SC m3 , any suggestions??

Martin,
I had Fabspeed SS loud on my TT -GT700. Loud on initial start-up and aggressively loud through the rev range after car is warmed the sound diminishes significantly but still sounds very aggressive on strong throttle. However, this is not as loud as the GT3 muffler bypass. The later are very cup car-like as advertised but once the car is warmed up, the sound can be modulated with lower and less aggressive throttle inputs. You said that you had the cat-bypass. I assume you use these with mufflers because without is way too loud. I use my muffler bypass with the stock cats in place and obviously no muffler. It sounds frankly, crazy with your foot fully in it at higher revs. and can be addicting if you have that sort of mindset. Apparently, I do. I'll likely do something similar to what I said in my previous post or leave as is since it just feels right(did the lightweight RSflywheel/clutch combo too). Not for everyone.

Yeah they are well known for that. The Aston Martin DB9 isn't so bad either.

If money's not an object, go Kreissieg titanium F1. My buddy has it on his GT3 and the thing sounds like a cup car. It's really amazing.

I bought the SS Fabspeed mufflers and the Cat bypass pipes. I was really suprised how loud the car got around 4,000 RPM...I had people holding their ears and swearing on the sidewalk as I drove by. Sounded absolutely fantastic at the track (wearing a helmet), sounded great on the highway, but just way too damn loud around town.
Recently I had the Cat's put back on (live in Florida with no emissions inspections) and frankly, the car is too tame. Too loud with Cat bypass and too quiet with just the new mufflers. You really need to get something like the Kreissieg pipes, where you can switch depending on the conditions.
