i have two vids of the europipe and they sound incredible. both europipe "loud." the europipe seems to retain that classic agressive boxer engine note. cold start and low rpm has an incredible of course all cars sound better in person than on video.

cargraphic is also another popular option. their export loud system also sounds great, but from the videos i have the tone of the cargarphic is somewhat different than that produced by the europipe.

fabspeed is popular too. they are lightweight and make power. personally i like the tone of the europipe because of its gutteral character. if you would like any of these videos let me know.

I am also leaning toward Europipe and Ruf. Can you send some vids as well.

I'm selling my Fabspeed mufflers w/polished tips. They are in perfect condition, only 500 miles on them. I purchased from another forum member who sold his car. I never got around to installing them. Still in wrapper. I had the tips repolished to perfection, never installed those either.
Sell for $700. Check out Fabspeed and videos here http://www.fabspeed.com
Here's what Joe from Fabspeed says:

"Fabspeed 996 Maxflo Mufflers $1095 with Tips & $995 without Tips

14 - 16 gauge T304SS-- much stronger than all competitors' systems- USA or GERMANY

Mufflers fit 1998 - 2005 996 & GT3 cars - all models. C4S must reuse factory tips

You can reuse your expensive factory Porsche chrome oval tips. Your factory Porsche tips, Tech Art tips or Dansk tips are a simple bolt to Fabspeed 996 Mufflers

Fabspeed Exhaust Systems have the finest SHOW CAR mirror polished finish available in the world!

Finest quality- hydro formed mufflers cases, radius stress relieved, C.N.C. mandrel bent tubing, pulse tig welded, 2005degree ceramic fiber and stainless steel wool packed freeflow mufflers. Fabspeed systems are the WORLDS BEST by any comparison.

8-10 Hp you can feel. More than any other manufacturer.

Superb sports car sound, throaty at idle and medium speeds...like a Ferrari F-355 at wide open throttle. It's docile enough for the wife/girlfriend, but strong when you floor it and go up through the gears!

USA street legal - 50 states- emissions legal.

Simple to install--Clamps & complete installation instructions included.

Complies with Porsche warranty.

Tips available separately. Bolt-on to all factory Porsche 996 mufflers. Porsche 996 Tech Equipment style ovals. - $350.00 /set (versus $795 from Porsche) "

Paul,
If atan888 doesn't buy the mufflers please PM me. I'm interested. You don't have to remove the rear bumpers to install, or do you ?

Hi Doc, it looks like they are sold to cooperlee. From what I understand you do have to remove the bumper. Enjoy the GT3!

Thanks Paul I'm really enjoying the 3. I'm trying to get used to the quick steering more than anything. I would post pics but my camera has gone to the big dark room in the sky, and my scanner doesn't work. I wish you could see her, the prettiest, deepest black paint I have ever had. Going to clay "Black Fang" and put a couple of coats of Zaino on her this weekend.
If the muffler deal falls through let me know.

Doc

Cargraphic makes an awesome system for this car....It makes an honest horsepower gain and it is TUV approved -

I would highly recommend this system- mufflers- cats and exhaust manifolds.
