Difference Between GT2 and GT3
#17
I agree with the TT. I had a 993 TT before the GT3 and I learned how to drive on tracks with that. Then I got the GT3 I spun out alot in corners that were sequences of turns-combinations- that I never had a problem on with the TT. You need to learn about traction, weight transfers etc etc etc. and the TT is better for a beginner. there are no driver aides on the GT2/3 excpet for ABS. Having said all that and haven driven a 997S thats not a bad choice for where you are. it has a nice ride, a nice clutch and its FAST!+all the comforts.

The GT2/3 is a serious machine and its hard to reccomend it without knowing if one is an experience driver or not. Having had many hours in the TT at the track I would have not considered myself a beginner, but after driving the GT3 I realized I was a beginner compared to the capabilites of that car. I have learned much more since then. However if I was to go to a GT2, having been humbled once, I would consider myself a beginner in that car. I am sure thats why the assumption was made. You cant take these 2 cars lightly, trouble comes in a hurry. They are a different league. I would not recommend either one without knowing the new owner was not going to the track with and instructor. They are race cars that are barely street legal. thats not only my opinion but the opinion of most of the instructors I have been instructed by.

Sorry people but I was just looking for opinions here and thoughts. Last I looked this was not a bashing forum but a forum about cars and people helping and sharing information.
