Replacing my GT Transmission
We're not quite sure what happened, and hopefully once the part gets back to Porsche we'll be able to find out. In any case, here are some photos of my poor GT getting its transmission replaced:

A lot of the labor is just getting all of the parts off to get to the transmission, replacing it takes just a few hours, then probably another day to get everything back on.
It IS being covered by warranty, thank goodness.

I hope they remember how to put her back togeather... Is this their first time replacing the tranny on a GT? That is a lot of work indeed... as much as you drive the car can you get a CPO Cert on the car at the end of the Warranty?

Certified Pre-Owned Warranty... Basically Porsche extends the regular warranty not aftermarket.

Not all dealers are cerified to work on CGT.
If a dealer is certified it is usually only 1 (or 2 max) guys that can
even touch the CGT when it is on the dealers premise. That includes
loading/unloading off from transporter, etc. To become certified,
techs go thru specific training at PCNA. Most owners should get to
know their tech.

Right, only one guy at Pioneer Porsche here in San Diego, Tom. He's doing it all himself. It broke down in Neveda (Pahrump), but I had it towed to home because I only wanted him to work on it.
