I agree about the cs. Its a lot more fun than the 430 but doesn't have the power of the 430.

The cs is super fun and light!
Thje car to have will be the 430cs

Nick has pretty much ruined the CGT forum over at Rennlist, I hope the same doesn't hapen here.

For some reason he finds the time to post over and over about how dangerous the car is, even when the owners state the contrary. I have pretty much given up posting over there because every thread ends up being a lets bash the CGT.

When he runs out of arguments he starts making things up, I think this goes back to his lawyer background.

Facts:
The CGT is by far the best sounding car I have ever heard! I haven't found anyone who has heard my car who doesn't also think the same. In fact to this day Nick is the only person I have ever heard that didn't think the CGT sounds incredible.

The ride of the CGT is firm but not at all harsh, I am amazed at the level of handling they achieved without a harsh ride.

The 997TT isn't going to beat the CGT around any course in the world and might be slightly faster to 60mph because of AWD but from a roll or to just about any speed above that it won't have a chance.

I know three people who own a CGT and an Enzo and all of them would pick the CGT to drive and thinks that it is a better car.

Being able to take the tops off of a car with the performance level of the CGT is amazing!

The car has held its value quite well over the last six months, I have been watching the market to buy another one and haven't seen a drop in a while.

You don't need to be constantly on top of the car to not get into trouble, you do if you are pushing the car but that is true with any car. My wife has driven the car and did fine, the car can be driven easily by anyone if they use common sense and stay within their limits.

Porsche flooded the market with CGT's and has caused the price to drop well below MSRP, which was good for me and others as we got a great deal on the car.

Beliefs:

The F430 is a high production sports car and will continue to drop in value over the future, just like the 355 and 360. If you think that car will appreciate in your lifetime Nick you are smoking something.

The CGT will drop in price for a while but nice stock examples will go up in value in 10-15 years similar to the F40's.

Simply put IMHO the CGT is the greatest car that has ever been built!!!

iLLM3: One other thing for you since you also owned an e46 M3. I was looking at buying one pre owned since this is the last year they are making them before going the the v8. How did you like that car? My decision is between the e46 m3 and the g35, the g being new and the m3 being used? I kno u said u have the sedan if im not mistaken? and even though different cars how would u compare them or a g coupe if youve been in one?
M3's are amazing, point blank. To this day, even this moment im looking at M3's in pic's, avid member on e46fanatic's and looking on autotrader, i just loved what they had to offer. Refined, good direct handling with minor upgrades, fun power. FAR superior then a G35 and i would take an 02 m3 any day over an 06 G35, its a night and day difference but both are 2 totally different car, M3's truely are great, and this is from someone who owns a modded porsche turbo too

Dont get me wrong, i love my G35 also, but int he class its in, BMW 330, Acura TL, you get the point. Here's a pic of my G35

BTW im so sorry guys for taking this off topic, this berry guy is a fool, lets leave it at that!

That has got to be one of the nicest g35 sedans Ive ever seen. And I mean that. I LOVE m3's. The styling just is so damn agressive and I love everything about the car. The thing for me is that I can get a g35 coupe brand new, uprgrade with a SC and run circles around any stock or modded m3 unless it is supercharged as yours was. But if I could find the right deal on an M3 04 or higher for a descent price I would not hesitate to pull the trigger.

In terms of this berry guy, IMO he has no berries, lol. The guy obv doesnt know what hes talking about. Someone should go over there to 'his' forum and do what he does about the CGT and see how he likes it, but then again we on this forum have class and respect for f cars, and I kno most guys over there have respect for us and Porsches but this guy is just an idiot.

Thanks man. As for your FI G35, i wouldnt be too sure about that haha.. Now i did have a freak of an M3 stock, but when i took it to a G35 meet i ran my friends Voretech SC'd G35 coupe 6spd, i was pulling from him at end of 2nd till 4th badly. Plus M3 will outhandle on track better than even a G35 withc oilovers, G35 has like no feeling steering wise, especially for the coupe, its a pig. The clutch and shifter are the WORST, stiff, vibrate and so on, no refinement. As for my auto g35 sedan, ahh none of those issues, feels nimble and its lighter than the coupe

Anyway you can get a great deal on an 03-04 M3, and just drive the hell out of it. Exhaust, Short shifter, coilovers and wheels and your set with an M3, you have the most amazing balanced car with plenty of power to play with, no lie. Had 100x more fun with it before i supercharged it and stripped it! M3 is the way to go, my friend just picked up an 04 with 240 miles, for 42k, deal of the century. They are still up there in price for some, but well worth the money IMO, refinement, do it yourself power, high revving, balance and handling, M3's are flat out awesome.

I completely agree with you. That deal is what I would like to look for before I get G35. I love the high reving nature of the ///M. But at the same time they are just as heavy as the G35, but yes with a completely different feel. I dont think I would compare it to the Carrera 4 Im used to driving, but then thats in a diff calss as well. They are just plain sick. If I can find one like your friend did I would be very happy to bite on that offer. As far as I have seen though, nothing quite as good. Ill keep my eye out for a deal.

Hey if you have AOL/AIM feel free to im me (DragOn133) with any more questions or anything, and i'll also help you look for a great deal on an M3 if you would like! Yes G35 and M3 are similar in weight, but you would never know it, just show's the suspension engineering of the M3

Nick, it sounds like you are developing a reputation on the internet...do yourself a favor and don't live up to it here.

while they're both great cars, there's always some narrow-minded people that see them only in greens. frankly, CGT is in the dumps when it comes to value because there're some heads who love to talk dump about it. power of internet, GREAT DEAL they've done it! so what? let those who can truly appreciate to own it. let those who can see it beyond the greens to own it. let those who want to own a piece a Porsche history to own it. enough said. i love the 430. i love it & respect it & enjoy it. i just love the CGT more but i don't need to trash talk the 430 to make the CGT better. they're different but they're all great because they shine in different area. it's sad to see some always talk what they can't see. u can see they're blind but u can't help them to see. it's really a hopeless feeling because i thought we can all talk about the same passion we share not which car we own.

open ur mind people & have a nice weekend!
