And there is a reason porsche owners are willing to pay 30k more for a better car. I guess when you shop for a bargain thats what you get. I was in love with the new Z06, but after seeing this I am reminded that they are the same car company that builds cavaliars!

It's dangerous for cars following it! Now I know to avoid driving near any Corvette!
The Z06 shares the same steering wheel as the $16k Malibu. That doesn't make it that special now does it. They couldn't even spend additional money to give it a better steering wheel!

Are you freaking serious? The new Z06 has leaf springs? No way, maybe you are referring to the Malibu.

The car literally shed off its own weight. Impressive.
That's right I was in total disbelief when my suspension specialist told me these cars come with leaf springs.

Funny how the people are so quick to dog the vette for using carry over parts from another GM car (albeit a lower model) when most manufacturers do the same including most of the euro high end manufacturers. Look how much Audi crap is carried over to lambo's cars including IT's flagship. Pot calling the kettle black.
Leaf suspension or not, it makes the Z06 no less a world class performer. It may not have the prestige or the build quality of the euro cars, but then again it costs a fraction of the cost of the cars it can repeatedly outperform. Build quality and cost aside, that leaf set up is much more advanced than most critics may understand when talking traditional "leaf spring" set ups, and it sure doesn't hurt the car in the performance arena as is clear by it's ring time among other things.
Just calling a spade a spade.
