CGT Gravel guard

Where can I get the gravel guard for the CGT?
The one that keeps the rocks out of the good Doctors teeth?
It goes in the front fender openings....

Ask your Porsche dealer, they can get one for you i beleive. I know someone who just got them on his Fayence Carrera GT down in Conneticut.

No luck from the dealer as it is an aftermarket part, some one on the board told me about it, and they were being produced in limited numbers.
FYI, it was the dealer in Kentucky that called me looking for them, as you can see from my avatar, I dont need them!

There was a article in a previous issue of Excellence magazine about them. I don't remember the details though.

I put them on my CGT last fall and I am happy with them.
There is a thread about this and some pictures from my installation at http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforum...ghlight=gravel

I am happy with the look and how they work. They basically just disappear on my black car. Saying that, when you turn the wheel, you no longer see a gaping hole...everyone at the dealership (and myself, too) thought it makes the car look more finished.

They do just bolt on using existing holes, but I looked at the job and decided my time was more valuable doing other stuff, so I took them to my dealer who has a great tech. (Bert at O'Daniel's in Fort Wayne) Usually, he can easily beat the published repair times, but this job took almost 3 hours to put on the 2 guards! In fairness, it is extremely tight working conditions, and I am sure he was being VERY careful.

They fit well, but there are VERY tight clearances when turning the wheels to the extreme.

I am very happy!!!

Chuck

Chuck,
when u turn the wheel all the way does the tire actually touching the grill? i was looking at the car last week while getting the side clearbra redone. had the side panel off i was amazed how close the space between the tire to the painted panel. just couldn't figure out how the grill would clear.
