What brand of LWF

I was checking retail prices on the LWFs for my GT3. The Stillen weighs 14 lbs and retails for $729.95. The Fidanza weighs 12.5 lbs and retails for $404.99. I know there are more brands out there but haven't found their sites yet. I want the best part I can get, within reason.
Any experience or comments would be appreciated.

Lwf

The only company that I know that has a History of running aluminum flywheels in 996, Boxster, GT3, 993, 996tt, as well as the pure racing Tilton units they make for pro stuff, is Aasco. Someone at Aasco stated that they have over 225 applications.
I believe that MPD in florida may also have an application for the late model Porsche. I know that Aasco manufactures flywheels for Stillen and runs a 6 car GT3 cup team.
And I am unaware but I could be wrong that Fidanza does not have the late model Porsche units.
Best regards

I would use the RS lightweight flywheel. Your tranny would be warrantied. Any others = no warranty

I called my Porsche dealer yesterday and spoke with the parts guy. He says Porsche did not offer a LWF upgrade. I did not specifically ask about the RS. This dealer is very reluctant to change anything on a customer's car. I need to find a more progressive thinking dealership.

You can get the Porsche RS lightweight fly wheel clutch kit from Gert (Carnewal). It's a Porsche part, thus it will be warrantied. US dealers just seem unwilling to order the euro parts. My dealer checked with PCNA and were told they could still honor the warranty with this part....hence it is in my car...

I ordered the RS lightweight flywheel kit through my Porsche tech (Kravig Engineering/Precision Motion) in Riverside Ca. It is OEM Porsche so I will have a warranty. Thanks Rockitman for your guidance.

Luis:If you're going the LWF route this is the only way to go.<$1900

Rockit,
How is it driving it on the road? How much more responsive is it? Any other impressions you could add on the GT3 LWF?

It much better..revs freer and makes the car quicker...After the car is warmed up and your driving, when you come to a stop, you may hear the flywheel sound...hard to explain what it sounds like...I want to say it has a light grind/rattle sound but that leaves a bad impression. When you dpress the clutch to sound goes away. It's really a non issue. The clutch has a better feel as the RS sach's clutch disk is different from stock. There are no downsides from a drivability standpoint. The occassional sound is the only negative, if you could call it that. No stall issues when starting out in first gear....I think it's the best mod you could do to a GT3...
