Should a GT owner get a GT3RS?
I really enjoy my GT on the track (who wouldn't), and I have a deposit on a GT3RS, but I can't help wonder why own a GT3RS when I can just track the GT. I'd love to hear some opinions.

Two totally different cars, so yes, get one and enjoy them BOTH at track events. I would imagine you'd be more willing to progress in your driving skills with the GT3RS simply because if you go off the track, it wont cost you 100K+ to fix it. I say get the RS and have fun with it.

I have a deposit on the RS and I am definitely looking forward to getting it. They are two unique cars. The CGT with its mid engine layout has a very different feel than the 911 does and rather than looking at them as alternatives to each other, I see each of them as compliments to the Porsche experience.

If you can do it and it won't hurt financially, why not try the RS and if you get bored sell it to another eagerly waiting enthusiast. I bet you'll love each differently, as they have different physical forms, different driving personalities and different sounds, etc. Congrat's on working and putting yourself in a position to enjoy such decisions.

after owning the CGT everything else Porsche (or other brands) offers would be used or considered as a ''daily'' car for me. doesn't mean u're going to use it as a daily car but there's some occasions u just don't feel like driving the CGT for many reasons. GT3 or GT3RS would be a great secondary car & much less flashy.
