keep my996TT 03 or change for a GT3 07 ?
Some of you wil find that question a little bit ''bizarre''
I start in 2005 doing track with PCA club, and I love it!! but now I don't no what to do... Put money on my 996TT to optimize my performance on the track or change my car for a new GT3 2007?? I know that's two diff car.
I love the power and the torque of my TT, but it's a very heavy car, 4 wheel drive... I tried a 996 GT3, and I didn't like it. More handling, but not enough power. The new GT3 is a 415hp, like a stock 996TT.
I use my car as a day car (3-4 times a week)..
Is GT3 07 gonna be a funny car on the street??
what do you think?

The 997 GT3 is not that much more powerful than the 996 GT3. The gears are shorter but the rear tire diameter is larger, so it gets back to the same, a car with long gears that needs to be driven at high RPM. The 997 is a heavier car, without sunroof, and it seems the sunroof will be mandatory.
The 996TT feels pretty strong due to the torque, but everytime I hit the track I pull away from lightly modified 996TT and stock 996TT-X50 on the straights, on turns is not even fair to make a comparison.
You should consider a GT2. It's going to be cheaper than the 997 GT3.
For a track beginner, all the cars mentioned are too much. Stick with a 964 or older car to develop your skills at lower limits.

i used a 996 gt3 as a daily driver and enjoyed it just fine.
the 997 gt3 should make an even better dual purpose car.
i'm supposed to have one by november.

If the 996 3 hasn't enough power for you the 997 won't either. My car is faster than an stock TT and not far off modded ones. Maybe I got a good 3 I don't know. But the 3 is damn fast regardless.
There was an 03 evo 750 in the last DE I did, and I almost lapped him. Get a 3....either one, you'll be tickled IMO

I suggest you read up on the reviews of the 997GT3, its even more amazing now acceleration and handling wise, and more comfortable on the street with the PASM! I think it will be the ultimate street/track car IMO, i would go for it!
I love the GT3, although if you set your turbo up right it will be just as mind blowing, RWD, modded and stripped weight out of mine is sure ALOT of fun!

once you really drive a GT3 on the track the turbo will feel kinda boring on the track imho. The turbo makes for an awesome daily driver and mod car but if you are a track junkie the GT3 is in a different league.
