996 GT3 mods for more lower end grunt

Thinking about picking up a GT3 I drove on the weekend. Love the drive, visceral compared to the 996TT. What I would like is a bit more grunt lower down as the real fun in the GT3 seems to happen above 6K (and well above the speed limit). Not that there is anything wrong with that but I'd like a bit more grunt lower down. I searched and didn't find much. Anyone give me some suggestions..ECU,exhaust, other?

Thanks

Check out the Manthey power kit. I beleive it is around $14k and brings hp over 420.

Watt

$4875.00 for the 3rd,4th, and 5th gear replacement and approximately 1650 for the lwf, including the clutch. I have been using the same father/son indy techs for over 10 years and they give me a break now and then.

GT3 regear

Tim at Mind over Motorsports(in conjunction with Jeff Gamroth of Rothsport) in SD can do it for around $7k. Incl. changing 3,4 and 5 and moving original 5th to 6th all includes steel synchros. Also includes
cup LSD with 40/60. Currently underway.

Regear

Price does not include LWFW/Clutch as I'd already done it earlier. These guys know GT3's and are looking into a 3.9 kit from Porsche Motorsport for me.

Gt3

Tim has not given me all the specifics yet as he is waiting for more info from
Porsche Motorsports. I liked what I heard so far but I'm sure it will be pricey. I'll post when I have more details.

Actually even with the damn EURO so high, you can get the 415 HP kit for a little over $ 11,000.00

A trade for a GT2...LOL Honestly the best mod for the GT3 is the gear upgrade. I wish I could do mine but I am racing my car in a stock class so its not possible. The GT3 is an amazing car and I love it the way it is. Best of luck to ya.
