Question 997 GT3 allocation slot around the US, any ideas?

I know many of you are number 1 or 2 on the list but for me, I had my name on the turbo list so when I changed my mind they put me at the bottom of the GT3 list

Anyways as it stands right now it looks like I may have a GT3 around June/07 if all goes well. Just seeing if anyone has or knows a dealer who might have an open slot sooner?

Plan on ordering a Speed Yellow GT3 with the basic assortment of options

thanks guys, I love this community!

hey rick, what dealerships have you talked to? i've talked to nearly all of them in the bay area. let's see... as of about 6 weeks ago, here's what i was told...

Carlsen - December (wants $15k markup!) they are sold out for 2007
Rector - Feb
WC Porsche - Feb
Niello - June
Oakland - March
Sonnen - Feb

i may be forgetting a few. and of course a lot can change in 6 weeks.

happy hunting bro!

Jason,

Wow 15k over MSRP? They think they are selling a Ferrari or something? hahaha - been shopping F430's and they want anywhere between 25k-40k over mspr

Well I have a good relationship with Porsche Fremont and they said I can get one in mid 07 which is earliest so far.

You guys are in luck. I've already got an Oct build and just got an email about 5 minutes ago from one of the other dealers I was working with. They have Jan build (options still changeable) available...of course at MSRP. PM me and I'll forward you the info....Only thing I get out of this is hopefully a thank you from both the salesman and you

PCNA released the allocations to their dealers in the last couple of days. Dealers know what they have available and when. Make a few phone calls, there is some availability for now.

Thanks rmag: I got the order list with the specs on the car they had for the Jan. slot but they ended up pulling the rug on me last minute and gave the car to a local buyer

But thanks again for your help - right now I'll be very happy with a Jan.Feb build date....anyone?

thanks,
rick

now that i think about this... maybe i'll cancel my order rick, and then buy yours off you when you're done with it. no sense in both of us taking a depreciation hit!

If I knew about this a month ago, I could have given my slot. What happen was I had my name on a GT3 for a Feb 07 build, but then a slot opened for my turbo which was a July build, September delivery. I decided to order the turbo. They still had my name on the GT3 until a month ago when the dealership called and asked me if I still wanted the GT3. That dealership is only getting 2 cars total, no more. He will call me if they do get one more car. There is still a possibility.
