AZ, Our cars are shipmates. Mine left on aboard the "Sapphire Ace" on 11/16 as well! Been looking for it to show up on the San Diego marine information site at www.sdmis.org/schedule/ but nothing as of today. I'm thinking mid Dec. for pickup at my dealers as well.

This may be lacking tact, but for you guys under age 30 are you paying cash for your GT3s?

After 45 years around Porsche you do make a few friends who will share information with you. Our boat hasn't shown up on the schedule yet but should any day now. here's how it works; 2 1/2-3 weeks on the water, depending on how many stops, weather and a multitude of other issues, then a week to get through customs and delivered to our dealers here in Ca. Maybe a day later for you. So I am thinking no later then the 16th and as early as the 12th!!! Cheers

I am #2 on a deposit list for an RS and I am 47. My first Porsche was a 911SC Coupe when I was 22. Bought it off the showroom floor at Alan Johnson in Point Loma. White with Cork leather, 7's and 8's. It will be my 9th Porsche. For whatever reason I can't stay away. These are the best road/track cars built in the world. My new baby will see plenty of track time...I can tell you that!

now now Scott, that's not fair ... I'm 20, I've bought for 4 of my 5 cars, no help from my parents. I've helped them out on a few occasions.

Just kidding. I would ask the same question too, though <rant> it's certainly aggravating when people ask what my dad does...
"He's an engineer... hey nice 84 civic bro, what does YOUR dad do?"

Sad to say I'm not a GT3 owner... yet. Just bought a porsche a few weeks ago and I have to say I'm liking it so far. Although personally I'd get a TT before a GT3... It does seem more... young and modern.

After some quick math of current owners the average age appears to be 44.36 years. Wow that puts myself, Azgt3,plima and jim911 way above average!! What's really cool is that I am now on the list for the 2009 998 GT3 and I will be 63 by the time that arrives.
