32 now. bought first GT3 at 28. (and it was a cash purchase for the question above). 1st Porsche was a 98 Boxster when I was 24 I think. NOT a cash purchase

You guys are dragging that average up!

Luis - don't make them feel old.

I was 30 on my First 996TT in 01 and left Porsche until now with a 07 997TT.

I should have left college much sooner than 28.. Mardi Gras and Alcohol for some reason extends your graduation dates!!

I can guarantee that none of you 40.36 year old guys have a better time, on a daily basis then I do in your GT3's!

10,653 miles, 3 sets of rears, 2 sets of fronts, 3 oil changes, a few rock chips, 62 miles to the first stop light from my house. No streets here, only roads!!!! Hehe!

29 when I bought my first GT3 (which is also my first P-car).
I owe ~10k for the car but I'll have it paid off by the end of the year.

I just turned 22 and am proud to say my business does well. I do not have a family that offers to help pay for cars. Some of you may be lucky.

I am 69 and in my 12th porsche. 3 were Twin
Turbos. I don't want the rath of anyone but it kind of galls me for guys in their early 20's giving advise on 100K plus cars. If they really own these cars more power to them, I have a feeling many are wannabe porsche owners. I am considering the GT3 to replace the Targa 4S I just got, but probably will get a another turbo instead. No insult intended but it just takes a lot of living to give advise to anyone about anything. Again I apologize if I am insulting anyone, but I generally don't pay much attention to the young kids on this wonderful blog.

What industry are you in, if you don't mind my asking?

None taken, simply because I'm not sure where you're going with this... Neither I nor the two other "kids" in this thread gave any advice. We merely provided answers to a poll. If you look around the 996 forum you'll see me asking for advice... as a new porsche owner, and not as a "kid," mind you.. not giving them.

25 and it's my first Porsche. Was considering 996 TT for more forgiving driving and turbo experience (never owned a turbo car before) but ended up with GT3 (my 7th NA car). Do about a week of track days a year. Can't live without them.

Agreed. That's why I couldn't pass it up when I saw it forsale 1000 miles away from where I live.

EDIT: Hope to upgrade to 997 GT3 RS in 10 years when their prices gonna be no more $200k.
