The S2000 is a very quick car stock and easy to drive fast. With slight mods it would probably be able to stick with most anything on a tight track. I dove one for about 40K miles and never found anyone who could stay with me on mountain roads.
Unless the driver is very experienced, extra power will result in slower lap times, as more time is wasted sliding. Lots of fun, but not as fast. It takes a lot of control to only use ¼ throttle where needed when someone is faster and you think they shouldn’t be.
Just goes to prove, spending more time and money on driving skills pays greater dividends than buying a faster car.
