Just curious how long people think they will keep this car? Is the GT3 just another iteration of GT3s that will get replaced by the next generation when it comes out? Or is it something special?

How about the RS? I imagine more people will intend to keep the RS for the long haul, but maybe I am wrong.

I find no compelling reason's what so ever to replace my 996 GT3. The last of the un-dolled up and raw Porsche's...My 996 is here to stay.

New Porsche owners are very fickle, like Imelda Marcus on Fifth Avenue; expect to see used 997GT3s on the market very soon.

I tend to agree. Lots of the higher $$$ new Porsches are bought by people who drive them to the country club for 6 months, and then turn them in so as to a) stay current, and b) not take a big depreciation hit.

I just think that's not something you should ask...In my opinion that car has to be taken forever...nothing will ever be compaired to it, in terms of style and performance. That's an "object" to be taken FOREVER...stop
