Gemballa Mirage GT “Black Edition”

Gemballa has made its name building high-power modified Porsches and their most expensive piece of work is the Mirage GT, based on the now discontinued Carrera GT supercar. As the name suggests, the “Black Edition” is a variant of Gemballa’s standard Mirage GT and comes with a bodykit, power options, wheels, and interior modifications. Power is up by “only” 30-40hp over the 612hp found in the standard Carrera GT, and this is significantly less than the 750hp you’ll find in the Mirage GT. Despite this, the car weighs less because of a carbon fibre bodykit.
What’s new is a wheel set with 19” alloys in the front, and 20” in the back, both shod with massive tyres. Inside, you get swathes of Alcantara and carbon fibre, plus a high-tech LCD information and stereo system. You can also option additional driving lights and a rear-view camera system.

What little they did just feels like too much to me.

Looks ok. I wouldn't do it to my GT (if I had one).

"Despite this, the car weighs less because of a carbon fibre bodykit."

As opposed to the carbon fiber body kit that comes from the factory?

If anything, with all of the extra junk glued on to this car, it should be heavier than stock.

Although it's a bit overdone, it still looks alright.

I like it much better in stock form.
