Damage to fins in front radiators of 997GT3?
After only 3,000kms on the odo, my car is showing a lot of bent "fins" in the front radiators.
I suppose this isn't surprising, since those apertures in the front bumper are huge, and have no mesh to protect the fins. I know some people have retrofitted some kind of screen to protect against this sort of damage.
Porsche surely must have discovered in testing that all sorts of tiny stones and debris would get in there over time, and result in the bent fins. Does this mean that i shouldn't worry? its kinda annoying because it looks so ugly (assuming you bend down to peer in there... but what self-respecting gear head wouldn't do that anyway?!)
I just found I also have tons of little scratches on my headlight lenses. You can't tell during the day, but at night with the lights on, you can clearly see the scratches all over the lens. Doesn't affect the illumination, but it sure looks unsightly.
I guess its my fault for following in the wake of friends' cars while we're doing >150mph
thank god the car is white, so all the little stone chips and scratches aren't visible!

I am worried about this problem as well. Lots of dust and sand flying around on the road here in Dubai.
I read somewhere that it was possible to fit protective mesh screens to prevent that. Does anybody have info on how / where?
