What are you thoughts on this? I'm shocked that they would rate the GT3 second to the Vette. I'm also surprised that they don't factor in dealer markups on the vette when making price comparisons. I'm not sure about now, but I know when they first came out, people were paying 20K over sticker to get one. Fair is fair.

put aside biases... ignore things like interior styling and fit & finish...
based only on performance (never mind prestige, image, etc) in the cold, hard light of day, and according to the stopwatch that doesn't lie...
the Z06 is an incredible accomplishment.
that's before you factor in the price, and before you slap on R-compound tires.
people know what they want. this is like pepsi vs coke, evo vs STi, canon vs nikon... some will prefer one over the other, but its really difficult to go wrong with either.

I am always amazed at the never ending battle over Porsche/Corvette. They are both fantastic machines each in their own right. I am lucky enough to own a 2004 GT-3 as well as a 2007 ZO-6, I have no plans to ever get rid of either. Tomorrow I am placing my order for a 2007 GT-3 RS. I trust it will be as fantastic as the others. Each time I drive either the Porsche or the Corvette I find new ways to be impressed. They both go about their mssions in very different manners...but both are at the top of the food chain.

I don't have a GT3, but I do have a 2001 TT with a StageIV upgrade, a stock 993tts, a Carrera GT, a 2005 Boxster S and a 2007 Z06 Corvette.
The Corvette is very cool in its own right, but it is NOT a Porsche. I love the straight acceleration of the 'vette, and especially the sounds of the 427, but it always feels heavy and out of control compared to any of the above Porsches...of course, it was only $70K.

I just wish someone would ban SCvet00, he is annoying. He is the first to make sure if there is an article comparing the two, that it goes for pages of him trying to make sure that everyone knows the Z06 is faster. I think there should be a limit to the number of posts you can have and still be in the negative on your rep, after that it should be immediate banishment.
Can we start a ban poll where if so many memeber vote to ban a person it goes through, I'd be all for that.
