I've used Inter-City about a half dozen times and would highly recommend them. Never a problem and they deliver when they say they will. They also delivered my CGT actually wearing special coveralls! Haven't shipped a car from Florida, but have from New Hampshire to LV. Costs have been about $1900 (more for the CGT).

I shipped a car from Ft. Lauderdale to California using Sundown Transport (cnclosed carrier) for $1,500. They used two driver's and I got the car in three days. They took good care of the car.

Come to think of it, there was an extra mile on the odometer and a pair of panties on the passenger seat. I can only imagine what happened in the car

Cappy Acampora is very well regarded. The buyer of my old stradale used him. When Cappy picked up the car from me, he was very thorough in checking the condition of the car prior to transport. Cappy was very careful about properly loading the Stradale -- which has a very low and long hanging front bumper.

I recommend Dealer-to-Dealer. They broker a lot of different transporters. I generally get cars to and from NY and LA for between $1500 and $1800 depending on how fast I need it. :-)

Remember: Fast, Cheap, Good - Pick any two!

recent gas price increase has raised the transport cost about 10%. depends on company though. Intercity is the best i've used but they're extremely busy. catch them in the right time is very important. they do lots of Porsche dealer work so they might have extra slot available for dealers that's faster than we can reach. i personally would only use companies that have ''lift-gate'' for low ground clearance cars. i can't justify shopping for ''best'' price when ship a 100k+ car when the difference is only few hundard dollars apart.

i've also used Horseless Carriage (http://www.horselesscarriage.com/) twice they're very close to Intercity if not the same. also try Fedex. i think they own Passport.
