2004 Challenge Stradale or new 997 GT3?

After owning Porsches basically all my life, I tried Ferrari in 2004 with a 360, and now own a F430, it'd be tough to go back. The instant steering reaction, the short gears, the sound! Oh my. And yes, modern Ferraris are very reliable. This short youtube video may help, not for the video but the audio. Both the CS and the F430 are completely stock.

Off the original topic but still related..why do you say F Car dealers are more carefully managing their list today? The 599, which is going $150k over not two times (in USA), is a perfect example. F-Car dealers are selling the cars direct and over sticker -less of the it's 'used' (7 miles, etc.) game which was used to acquire the mark-up before. Your dealer relationship will get you a 'first right' perhaps, but it will be a first right over sticker.

I think watt's post is the most reasoned in this thread, particularly against his real life experience with these cars.
I went through the VWs, then Audis, then BMWs, then 4 Porsches, my first Ferrari. Upon reflection, the 997 chassis is astonishing and is why I've returned with my 997 GT3 (on boat). No regrets selling the Ferrari.
Like the difference b/t a pissy supermodel and the hottie next door. No wrong answers here, just your preference.

Just the name Ferrari sounds exotic! Owning one is my dream as is many kids I'm sure - my brother was joking with me since I have a lot of Ferrari gear. He noted it would be ironic and funny if I got a Lambo!

my vote goes for the CS- best place to start is to ask your "client" to hear it and drive in it
(those cars sound badass and is my dream car too)

Who said anything about hate?
I'm just having fun.
Bottom line is the GT3 owner's "little-person-inside-his-head" doesn't say "Hey everybody look at me" quite like the CS's does.
btw, I already received my RS.

Just recently got to go for a ride and drive in my friends new 3. He has done some mods already and put like 5k on it in just 2 months. Absolutely loves it.
I was very impressed and it reminded me a lot of the cs in feel.
But like Gary said, the fcar experience gets under your skin. The sound is aural and like no other car. With out a doubt the cs will hold its value better, but it also has a higher entry point so more tied up.
Both great cars and 99% of all enthusiasts would be thrilled with either. I know I would(am).

The stradale is a beautiful car.
