997 GT3 Roll Bar Install

I wanted to share pics of my 997 GT3 Roll Bar install. I'm very impressed with the quality and fit of the bar. There's plenty of clearance between the top of the bar and the roof. Also, the curvature and shape of the new bar is very ergonomic in terms of accessibility to seat belts and the back of the car. The bar is also much more substantial than the 996 bar.

Nice!!! I didn't realize the cross brace was on the back of the bar. My 997 bar shows up tomorrow and will be installing later this week. How was the install? Did you do the cut outs on the side panels or just crush them in with the bar? Where the front bolts a ***** to align like with the 996 bar? Any pointers appreciated.

Roll Bar

Princeton Porsche is doing the install. I checked it out today. Seats not installed yet. From what I was told, the carpet had to be trimmed slightly and the the install was challenging to line up the first couple of bolts but then fell right into place. Very clean install from what I see. Fits perfectly. Like I said, good clearance all around. Best part is the room in the B pillar region and access to back of car. I was also told that now that the bar is in place, it will be no problem threading the bolts in and out as necessary to install the stock seat belts through the GT3 Seats.

Do you have any pictures of the car from outside to see what the bar looks like? Also which bar is that?

I really like the look of this roll bar...

I wonder if I can get a similiar version of this roll bar for my 996 C2 coupe?
