Buh-bye 997 Carrera.....hello 996 GThree!
After much soul searching (read: many sleepless nights of rationalizing 22k depreciation over 19 months),
I sold my 997 Base Carrera, traveled up to the Bay Area and brought home this little gem:
OldGuy's and Tony's BLKGT3 were also on my hit list; just a little outta reach for me, so I had to "settle" for this one, lol.
Has less than 9k miles, Xenons,A/C,short shifter,Euro seats, roll bar, harness,Aim lap counter, and a bunch of other goodies. Plus documentation up the ying-yang.
I've put 500 miles on her now and I'm extremely happy that I made the switch. No more sleepless nights!
Already have exhaust on order through GMG. Can't wait!

Thanks guys! I really love the car- I continually stuggled with little things on my 997 Carrera that I couldn't solve without spending lots more $$. Tony's car made me realize I had to have something more hardcore.
Tony how you doin'? You sell your car yet? I sent you a PM, you get it?

Congrats! I remember how exciting it was to take delivery of my GT3 last September. You'll probably keep visiting the garage just to stare.
By the way, what kind of exhaust are you putting on?

But since then I learned alot more about what I wanted out of my Porsche experience and I feel like I hit a hit a home run with this one
Since I've already over extended myself we're just going to change out the mufflers for now with Cargraphic.
Do you guys think a ECU flash will be worth adding to the car?

Cargraphic? That's funny -- I just bought the Cargraphic mufflers (loud export version) for my car. Haven't put them on yet, but I have heard them. They sound great. Nice high pitch wail when you get on it.
With respect to the ECU flash, from what I understand you can pick up some power, but not nearly what you'd get flashing a turbo car. My car is CPO'd till 2010, so I won't be flashing anytime soon. To be honest with you, it has plenty of power for me to enjoy (at least for the time being).
