Raffi- I whole heartedly accept your apology for doubting me or the car and thanks for coming out tonight to meet up and go for that spirited canyon run! That was great fun. The suspension and alignment changes that I made yesterday on the car made a world of difference. My rear end stayed firmly planted and the understeer I was experiencing before is completely gone now too. Additionally the symptom I had with the rear end stepping out to the right on hard shifts was completely eliminated by running the porsche spec alignment set up and the twitchy feeling in the car is completely gone now too.

I agree that the lines of the car would be more cohesive with the MK2 side skirts and I'll probably buy a set and have them painted at some point in the near future. Anyone need a pair of silver MK1 sideskirts?

jox- Apology accepted. Sometimes things seem suspicous but they're perfectly legit. We've also seen in this thread what a small world it really is- I met Raffi tonight in Los Angeles and we had a great canyon run and there are several more porsche people from 6speedonline right in my neighborhood in the Marina in San Francisco that I will probably meet up with when I get back home.

You might have had a good experience, but that doesn't change how they acted. Sorry, that's reality.

Spidermonkey, congrats, sounds like you got a good deal on a car. Hope to meet you sometime. As you can tell, the community is good at looking out for stuff that doesn't pass the sniff test. Maybe we're a bit overly cynical or protective now, but there have been a good number of scams and frauds too.

Thanks to all for the apologies and the congratulations- Really enjoying the car. Put about 2,000 miles on it now in less than a week. Unfortunately I've already ended up having the widshield hit with a rock. It's only about the size of a dime and I've got the windshield repair people coming out today.
