Lambo feels heavy
porsche precise and a true racecar which was built to go fast on track without comforts which the lambo has.
Porsche is more chuckable and tight, the lambo is more street firendly so cant keep up with porsche on the track in some aspects of the lap.
they pretty much dont give a winner.

i love road tests with driving impressions done by people who have the ability to truly wring out the cars (in this case, Armin Schwartz, who was a former WRC works driver). its why i'll always take Top Gear as good entertainment, and Fifth Gear as a more serious review show (Tiff/Jason FTW).
going back to these two cars, if i could only have ONE nice car in my garage, and choosing between both... i'd have to say it would probably be the G-car

Schwartz also talked about how the Gallardo was very fast, but almost to be expected given the big 10-cylinder engine. He was more impressed that the Porsche, with only 6 cylinders, did a good job of keeping up with it.

I'm in the market between these two cars. The Lambo is $50K more than the GT3RS now but which one will depreciate less at the end of five years? Porsche isn't making that many GT3 and RS's and I wonder what the real reason is. Could it be they have an updated engine up their sleeve (3.8)?

same thing will happen to Gallardo before Audi puts the V10 in the R8.

I want to make some comments on my expeirence with the new Superleggera
Ok i do own a Gallardo and i also joined a test drive event of the new Superleggera. I dont compare it to GT3 RS because i didnt joined a test drive event of GT3RS.
However new Superleggera feels lighter than the regular Gallardo. And in performance matters, ya it feels faster than the regular Gallardo. I mean it is significant faster. And about the traction yes , it has a great improvement to the regular Gallardo. We turned many curves with unbelievable speeds. And also test driver told me about you can do many things with Superleggera on the curves but not with regular Gallardo. Also the exhaust sound impressed me so much when upshift and downshift. I ve been told that Factory did a adjustment on the Gallardo exhaust and so this beast sound occured.
Also i want to talk about the seat belt configuration takes much time and not driver friendly especialy when getting in or out.
IMO the car is not suitable for daily drive , also it can make some hard things on weekend drive. I cannot imagine if your girlfriend tries to fasten seat belt or not.
I also check the LP640 yes it is great car but , SL impressed much more than the LP640. To summarize it , Gallardo SL is a great improvement on regular Gallardo.

I've driven the RS and have one incoming. I sold an 06 Gallardo that I had for a year. OK, it was not the SL, but basic configuration is the same. Comparing the two here are some lasting impressions:
1) The Gallardo must be muscled to go fast. The steering is heavy, you steer with your shoulders not your hands and wrists. Brake pedal modulation is nondescript. Can't really tell what the brakes are doing until you're on them hard. In comparison, the RS is a delight in both steer and brake feel.
2) Gallardo is more predictable than the RS at the limit of adhesion. Nothing like that ultra low center of gravity, 4WD, mid-engine. Felt like I could always save it even in off camber, decreasing radius corners, street or track. With the RS, you've got to pay a lot of attention at the limit.
3) Gallardo interior is claustrophic, tach and speedo unreadablly small and dimly lit, right rear visibility limited. RS wins the ergonomic contest by a long shot.
4) Gallardo sounds good, but rather unsophisticated big boomy sound. RS wins this contest for me too.
5) Daily driver, if you insist: RS wins this easily.
6) Track day got-to-have: faster laps in the Gallardo for the first two sessions. Even you're fit, you're pretty worn out for the afternoon sessions. RS wins here too.
7) Suspension is not perfect on a box-stock RS, but much more nimble and compliant that the Gallardo. Another truck-like feature of the Lambo.
I suppose you would have guessed that I'd be negative on the G-car compared to the P-car as we ultimately all vote with what sits our garages. I sold a Challenge Stradale to get the Gallardo - that was a dumb move on my part.
