Kem: Your right on.

Because i am bored and know to much crap about cars and motorsports and especially Grand Am and ALMS, i'll explain Grand Am.

Rolex- Is owned by the France family (Nascar). They have 2 classes, GT and DP.

They start the race in 2 sections, first its the DP cars, 1/2 the track down is the GT cars. They do that because the DPs are so much faster then the GT cars. Some races they have GT only races and DP only races. They have a couple 6 hour races and the famous '24 Hour of Daytona' race. They have support series called 'Koni Challenge'.

GT is Porshce 997 Cupcars,Mazda RX8s, BMW M3s, Corvettes, etc. The cars are allowed to have some light modifactions. Most cars are 'factory built' racecars. Most teams have 1 or 2 pro drivers and a 'gentleman' driver.

DP means 'Daytona Prototype'. The chasis are pretty much the same. But you are allowed to run different kinds of engines ex.(Porsche, Pontiac, BMW, and a few others). V8s i think have a 6speed and V6s have a 5 speed.(Pretty sure i'm wrong on the V6 and V8). This class is alot faster than the GT class.

GT car:

DP car:

Start of GT race:

..Why the heck did i just write all that? To lazy for a write up about ALMS.
