colonel is infamous around these parts
Watkin Glen is a high speed/high powered track with no room for error. I have only been to the glen twice, definitely very nervous each time.

I was at the glen as well in June with Schattenbaum. There were 3 bad
accidents. One was a E46 M3 that spun off at end of bus stop. Theblue, were you there?

Normally, it runs from $4000-$6000 depending on what you want like number of corner workers, ambulances, fire trucks etc. Amount of people allow for on the track is also limited to those options. Also, depends on the track as well. VIR was quoted over $8000. The only drawback that I could think of it is there is no instructors for people who never been on the track.

We really should set up a mini Porsche Cup.

What a great deal tho. Take VIR. Get 20 guys together. Thats only $400 each for basically 8hrs of unlimited run time! You do a PCA event and sometimes you only get about 90 minutes a day.

Woah, that's a lot of fill ups with $5 a gallon. I bet 997 MPGs on the track are pretty similar to 996? Both car and driver has to be in top shape to do anything past 2 hours. OK, may be 3.

Glad you and the car are OK! It looked like it should have caused some damage to the car. Any after pics?

Cheapest gas at the Glen is over $7
In the GT3 I get about 8.7 MPG while with my old turbo I got 5.7MPG

No damage except a few small scratches and a lot of black tire wall marks which came off with a bit of elbow grease!

Yes, I had the only Lancer Evolution there. this is my second time with the Schattenbaum PCA and I really like how they run the event regardless of the 3 bad accidents.

I saw the first accident of the day right in front of me as I burst into a clowd of dust and just caught the porsche spin across the track into the wall.

my advice to any of the porsche guys: go to your first event there with one of the PCA regions... you want an instructor who understands your very unique cars.
