Cdaniels the only way I know outside the illegal laser jammers and diffusers is to be ultra vigilant on the hiway. Stay in the right hand lane. Keep a 'rabbit' ahead of you and preferably someone who likes to sit in the left hand lane and always keep and eye on fast movers coming up in your rear view mirror. watch out for over passes-they like to sit underneath and hit you as you pass.
The only hope you have is if he lights up the 'rabbit' and your detector picks it up. Typically if the detector goes off youre sunk. its instant.

As posted earlier if your car has the automatic rain sensor, the wiring harness to the overhead console has several extra wires including a +12v line that can be tapped into. There have been instructions and pictures posted but I cannot remember if it was on this forum/webpage.

I cannot recall seeing instructions to tap it into the power of the dome-light. As long as there is a +12v line that is constant or on with the ignition you should be good to go. The same thread which talked about the "rain sensor" hard-wire had several postings from individuals who tried tapping into the dome-light but could not get it to work. Obviously, according to THIS thread, some people have though.

If you want the best laser jammer, get the AL, LPP, or the Laser Interceptor which is about to be released in the U.S.

I'm using using the V1 and a Lidatek LE-30. Been great so far! I see that Lidatek is changing its design and should be released later this year. Mine is hardwired with the V1 semi concealed on the rear deck.

The SRX has the same laser jamming capabilities of the ZR3 which is about 80% effective against lidar guns used in the U.S. There are better things that you can purchase with the $1500 you would drop on the SRX and installation. See my above post for a better combination.

Has anyone without rain sensors wired the detector to the dome light and had it work?
