I worked in the dealer world for a while, Now while I belive that Steve would want the sale, and this to happen I knnow that managers can be the one who screws the whole deal and tells the salesperson NO becuase they do not care! Do not be so quick to blame Steve, but his boss

Here is what I dont like. I can kind of stomach the dealer helping a owner flip the car-i.e. a guy got the car at MSRP and then sells it back to the dealer. then the dealer marks it up and gets his cut. What I CANT stomach is if a dealer sells his allocation knowing there are customers out there waiting for a car on lists. THAT pisses me off. Dealers using other dealers to make a bundle when customers were ever involved until stepping up to buy the $210K version.
BTW Rich I hope it works out for you. It would help restore the 120% faith I had in Porsche. My faith would be up to -10% instead of the low point it is now. I hope the dealers and PCNA choke on all the cash. Think the dealers will remember us when cars are sitting on the lot? How long ago was it when they couldnt give a 993 away? was that centuries ago or a mere 10 years ago and facing going belly up?

I resent the 'hey I'm one of you guys' BS. Just be sure and count your fingers after they shake your hand. I know some really good guys in sales, believe me they don't act like this towards clients, refer to dutch if you will. Selling shoes, wigs or cars, same ****. When are these guys going to realize that the guys on this board make 6-7 figures and really are 'players', and attorneys, bankers, CEO's, docs , business owners, etc. This ain't the supra board y'all boyzzz.
peace out

Get over it all dealers suck no matter what you do, Rich you got screwed...MMC are **** heads I tried to buy a GT3 from them and they wanted to give me no $ for the PCCB on my 997TT as they told me they have no resale value! You can trust me and what SFTOBR above says he bought his RS from MMC
You can scream and yell all you want here they wont do anything!

this thread is so worthless.
Rich, you got scammed. Just add them to the list of people not to do business with in the future. IF I missed something, someone steer me right.

If people weren't willing to pay over MSRP these cars wouldn't sell for over MSRP. It's similar to the battle against drugs, the drug dealer is to blame, but so is the drug user.
Let's all look in the mirror too folks, I know there are people on this board that have paid big bucks over MSRP, and the all mighty dollar is a hell of an incentive to the dealers out there.
One of the recent posters was right, it wasn't that long ago that P cars were sitting on their lots, we haven't forgotten, and neither have they, so the dealers figure they better make their money now while they can.
It's the same with Oil companies, why do you think Exxon posts the highest profit EVER? Certainly not because there's a scarcity of Oil, but because people are willing to pay $3.00+ at the pump.
The way I see it, it all boils down to communication with your customer, not the fact that they're selling a car at MSRP+, if they promised Rich the car at sticker, and it's in writing, then there's no wiggle room, he gets the car he ordered at MSRP. But so far, we don't know if that car was the car that Rich had ordered, but what we do know is when someone asks a question and gets an answer that seems a bit inadequate, then people start to come up with their own conclusions and stories.
MMC should probably not have a 24 year old dealing with 6speeders, nothing against 24 year olds, but possibly someone with a bit more experience in communication can handle this a bit better.
Sorry for the ramble...

For me, the worst part is the constant posting by Steve ever since he landed the job at MMC...all for cars over MSRP...I just think that his approach and touch are completely off...it is annoying as hell...
For instance, consider Stryke. He sells thru 6speed (I have personally purchased 4 watches from him) and he is an absolute pleasure to do business with. When I see his posts, they are to the point and reasonable for members of the forum. He style fits the board and its members.
Good luck with the RS.

Finally, Steve is a sniveling, dumbass new yorker who probably makes more money than most kids, but is exactly that: a kid. Here's a novel thought, try sticking up for what's right and being honest.
I mother f'in hate liars. They are just as bad as thieves and should be shot.
