Why on earth was the MMC thread closed

i dont think you guys are getting the point here, and are coming to your own conclusions.
the Orange GT3 RS never belonged to Rich.
Rich was with other people on the list, who were not able to get a car either.
The bottom line is that there is not enough supply to meet demand.
Rich can not have a car for MSRP, because we have no car available to order for him.
There's no need to call names, and use foul language toward me. Rich, you will get that phone call, and hear the same thing i have been telling you.
We didn't get enough allocation for you , and other people on the list.

Its best just to admit that you guys decided to sell your cars for premium instead of saying that you bought allocations from other dealers. Its one thing to say you paid over list for a 430 but this is going to far. You are not alone as far as selling over MSRP. In Florida its the norm on hard limited production cars. If you want to have the forum members respect just come clean and dont dig yourself a bigger hole.

Actually, these cars at MSRP are already way over priced, but that's like the kettle calling the tea pot black because I paid more than invoice as well. Why is it in the high end car business you have to deal with this dishonesty. I know people who buy Mercedes at invoice. It's a f'in car, not a cult.
Ok, time for a scotch.

The way you come across makes us understand a lot about you. If you don't understand the laws of business that fine. But don't think we're All stupid. First you call everyone that pays over MSRP an "idiot" then you tell us you did too. I know that this is 3rd grade stuff but I think you missed that class or slept through it. Bottom line is this: You have the cash Buy the car. End of discussion.

You are looking for suckers on 6Speed!
(IMO) Take a hike, and anyone who deals with you needs some "medical" help!

The whole point of being a thread sponser is to help fellow six speeders out. I've seen some of the prices you're selling your cars for and they are not any better than going into any dealership, in fact they seem a bit higher. Maybe you should follow the sales practices of Chicago Motor Cars. They know how to price cars towards members! Their last RS they sold was $45k over list. Unfortunately in your case, you probably don't have control over the price since you are the sales associate and not the manager, which is understandable!

first and formost...wow this is some thread..i feel rich's pain..but the bottom line is dealers can do just about anything ( even screw over their own customers ) they want..what can one do? probably nothing except take your business elsewhere..unfortunately not many ( none ) gt3rs are available at sticker price..so your choices are limited..either a) wait for an allocation ,b) pay over msrp or c) take back your deposit and wait..sucks but that seems to be the reality..

Thats not business thats ****ing your customers in the *** so someone who can throw away 75k in one year can have something they wont appreciate.
just my opinion. Thats just wrong on so many levels of customer service. basically breaching contracts to breach something else

When will these dealerships learn that the value of maintaining (having) a loyal clientele base is better than a quick buck?

For instance, consider Stryke. He sells thru 6speed (I have personally purchased 4 watches from him) and he is an absolute pleasure to do business with. When I see his posts, they are to the point and reasonable for members of the forum. He style fits the board and its members.
Good luck with the RS.

Is this the 4th or 5th week in a row with a dealership story like this? I went off on these dealers with low ethics 5 weeks ago and got PM from owners of dealerships saying they're not like this or that. Well the reoccurance of the same thing over and over again reenforces our perception of the industry as a whole and for good or bad, generalizes/stereotypes you as a group.

This is really ridiculous. I have no problem with you guys trying to maximize your sale (basic concept of supply and demand) however if you have a contract with a customer and he is (along with others) on the list for a car AT MSRP is it your duty to sell it to them as agreed upon.
To answer RR4 question above.
If these cars are so hard to sell than there is absolutely NO REASON to sell it to a fellow dealership. The story is bogus and no proof of where the car has come from has been shown which brings doubt to Steve's story. Sorry but I had to give my 2 cents because this is ridiculous that you can get a thread closed just because you are a sponsor and you got "pushed to the wall".

YOU GUYS ARE MAKING ME REALLY ANGRY WITH YOUR CONCEPT OF SUPPLY AND DEMAND. GUYS EVERYTHING IS CHANGING SO DOES ECONOMICS.
MAYBE IT IS WHAT WAS EMPHISIZE WHEN YOU TOOK ECONOMICS 10 YEARS AGO.
BUT NOW ETHIC AND INTEGRITY IS WHAT RULE BUSINESS PRACTICE.
OFF COURSE SOME PEOPLE WILL STILL BE OLDSCHOOL GUYS BUT SOONER OR LATER THEY WILL GET SCREWED.
SO STOP TALKING ABOUT S AND D.WHEN YOU HAVE A CONTRACT WITH SOMEONE YOU HAVE TO RESPECT IT.IF NOT YOU HAVE TO GIVE INDEMNISATION FOR THE INCOVENIENCE.THIS IS A BASIC CONCEPT TOO THAT SEEMS TO BE FORGOTTEN OUT HERE.
THIS IS MY 0.0001,BUT IN THIS SITUATION I WOULD GET SO PISSED THAT I DON'T KNOW WHAT MY REACTION WOULD BE.
STEVE,I THINK YOU ARE FROM EASTERN EUROPE.YOU KNOW BETTER THAN EVERYONE HOW THEY HANDLE SITUATION LIKE THAT IN THOSE COUNTRIES. IF YOU DON'T RESPECT BUSINESS CONTRACT, YOU LL HAVE TO DEAL WITH KALASHNIKOV CONTRACT.
I AM NOT AGRESSING ANYBODY BUT THAT IS GETTING ON MY NERVES THAT IN OUR COMMUNITY PEOPLE BEHAVE LIKE BASTARDS.
