And you don't need to be a jerk and abuse it. Getting sideways doesn't really require doing anything bad to the car.
The GT3 has more than enough of torque and hp to break the rear loose if you needed to. No need to fry the clutch or anything like that.
I have to admit that I have been thinking about never selling this car.
If I ever feel like getting something else (what could I possibly get that is better...?, well, maybe a 997 RS), I'll just suck it up and wait untill I can buy one outright without trading/selling the 996.

My passenger side rear wheel started leaking in the afternoon and the tire popped out of the bead. Some of the bolts that hold the wheel together had come loose and since we didn't have the correct socket to tighten them I decided to call it a day...well, that's at least what I thought at first.
My gf came by and brought my street rims/tires and in no time I was back on the track...
Dude, we gotta do Showdown 3 when you get here!!!

But the M5 is at Vista with a MELTED CLUTCH! What a POS. 30k miles and the clutch and tranny are done. Double J called me to tell me the bad news.
BMW NA may not pay for the repairs even tho the car is under warranty!
Have fun in FUNLAND!
EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! FTW!

I could somehow understand BMW voiding the warranty on the clutch on a manual car but Jeff's car's an SMG...
