Yes it is suitable for your time trials, Racing wheel to wheel usually requires a minimum 6 point cage, check with your sanctioning body.
We have clients runing our bars in PCA, POC , NASA, SCCA, BMWCCA and most other local clubs with no problems.

We have someone who can install the bar for you in the bay area.
