A first you'll see in R-compound DOT is our 19" sizes for the R888

Lightbulb Lap times

I don't think much about lap times as I am just trying to be smooth and find that I go faster that way. I was about 8 seconds slower than your times in the 06 C4S and am a lot quicker in the GT3. I finally figured out tire pressures for the cups and that should help as I was about 6 lbs high and that caused a little understear. I judge my progress by seeing how I do against other cars. I am near the limit on a few corners but the fast ones I still am working up to the limit. The C4S was very easy to drive with the GT3 handling better but taking more comittment. Executed one 360 out of turn 6 at Infineon so I have seen the limit go by which is good. I have driven a radical and found that slicks are much better than cups but i am not racing - yet- so I can be patient and work the cups.

I was thinking slicks but it looks like replacing some bushings might be better. I will run the Michelin cups for awhile but will look at other tires. I think r compound is fine if
i can drive to work on them.

no 2:02 at TH and 1:40 at LS aren't my time. if one can hit those times in a fully stock GT3, they will win a lot of PCA races.

i am 2:06 at TH and 1:44 in a cayman s.

if you want to be fast, dont change bushings. they do nothing for you other than make noises, i had them on one of my 4 gt3. if your gt3 is a 997 chassis, run toyo RA1, it's faster and more consistent once shaved. you will need 18" wheels. RA1 do not come in 19".

I'm picking up a set of 245/40 305/35 18" R888s tomorrow and mounting them on a new set of CCWs. Will be trying them out on the track mon/tues.

You can say that again! I've gone through 2 sets and HATE them. No stick! Have you ever checked out the tread wear? The grooves are so big (compared to the "regular" cups). They wear and chunk on all the inside grooves! Was going to wait for the R888 in 19", but once only the 295 were released and not the 305s, I sucked it up and bought a set of 18" track wheels
