Other than the Enzo - every car drops in value. I wouldn't hold your breath on the prices of the GT2. A friend of mine is in the market for a 996 GT2. He saw one go in auction for $63k. Don't know mileage on the car but it wasn't wrecked or salvage.

I'm sorry, but I have a hard time believing that.

I think the 997 GT2 is gonna drop more in value relatively to the F430.
And that is solely because of the Ferrari name and scarcity.

If we disregard any of that stuff, value, price, mark-ups etc...
I'd pick the 997 GT2 and that is because the F430 has been around for a while now. I love both cars just as much, they'll have to give me 3 days to pick one if i was offered to.

Now if it was the upcoming F430 CS, it'll be a whole 'nother story.

+1 Agree.

The 997 GT3 and GT2 also face the fact that they may be facelifted as well (aka offering mk II versions, like the previous GT3).

I think given the fact that there are facelifted 997's testing everywhere lately w/ LED's and new headlight clusters, and the fact that Manthey won the 24 hours of Nurburgring Race with the 3.8-Liter RSR, you can almost be certain that both the current GT3 and GT2 will go down once the newer versions come out.

All that being said, I'd still get a GT2 if I had the money, just for the performance alone! But the name "Challenge Stradale" also has a nice ring to it!!!

we've got an F here
Ive driven eh car
it is MUCH better than the 360..
however
a GT2, in terms of performance, is closer to an enzo IMHO then an f430...

great cars though
but i would rather have a 997gt2
honestly, i would rather have a Seal Grey RUF GT2 (cough cough)

while the f430 might be more exotic and whatnot, i'd care more about performance when it comes to a car of this caliber; in which case, i'd choose the GT2 without a question.

Waiting for the 997 vs F430, but I imagine it will be even worse for the Ferrari
amazing, especially considering the f430 has 103hp and 58lb-ft\tq on the 996 gt3.

Another, short driveby in wrong gear, still sounds great though!

new gt2 vs scuderia is going to be same as old gt2 vs stradale.

p will be somewhat faster, f will look and sound better. practicality and reliability will be equal. f will be significantly more expensive but will hold value much better. finally and most importantly f will provide driver with better fantasy of being in a race car.

conclusion imo is scuderia hands down if you can afford it.
