Official 997 GT2 informations on porsche France
#16
I took a look at the torque curve on the car...it is flat and long. In fact, I went out into the garage and looked at the torque curve of the Ruf 550 on a plaque that Ruf sent when they did my 996TT. It looks almost identical, and comes on earlier. The Ruf was rated at 780NM torque, the GT2 is rated at 680NM torque. I can tell you, the seat of the pants throw back in that Ruf was like nothing I have ever experienced. Made you rollercoaster queasy if you can get a mental appreciation of the feel. The fact that I miss that car so much, makes my anticipation of this one that much more exciting.
Time will tell, and it wouldn't surprise me if they build as many as they can sell, or if it tanks on resale...but what a ride it will be.
