Gt3
This same thought has been constantly on my mind as well. First, it was all the positive reports-including Luis and then Vince's great looking wheels. I don't know if can hold out for the new GT2. Better not drive one or my GT700 GT2 might be going. Must resist...

Like Grussel, AmirGT2 and Supercup, who sold their highly modded GT2s for the new 3 and never look back. I too feel the same way. The handling, power, sound and looks of this car is so dam good out of the box. It is so ferrocious but at the same time predictable and tameable .
The 996GT2 on the other hand is like a wild beast. Constantly have to be careful cause you never know when it's going bite you in the ***. Moreoever, I wasn't satsfied with it til Motons,Europipe, BBS and LSD ect,ect were added. You guys know your Porsches so I'll let you be the judge.

Nelson, the if the difference from the 996 GT2 to the 997 GT2 is anywhere close to the difference in the GT3's, (Which I think it will be), you will feel the same way I do today after you get a chance to drive the new GT2. If you are on a list for one, I would hold out for the GT2 as you are spoiled with the power of that GT700 which the GT3 does not have. I think the new Gt2 is going to be the best of both worlds.

My situation exactly. We really need both. Too bad there aren't many hi-reving torque monster cars with sweet handling/ajustable suspension available-not to mention with great build quality, lightish weight, min driver aids, racing heritage, dealer support etc... ha.

Needing both is definitely the solution LOL . Both cars are just so thrilling and rewarding, I am thinking of the GT3 for its newer platform/updates and for the increased driveability. If my car was just a track car I wouldnt think twice!

Luis, if you get one... Let me know, haha. Too bad Felix isn't around, but you should make a trip out here to SD and hook me up with a photo Op to shoot your car and we can go to a meet or something.
Alright chat with you soon.
