fred,
My GT3RS (in Viper Green) arrives in September (first of 08 models)- I am very keen to do a mod that you have done - namely painting the wheel lips/edge of rim - in Green!
Despite searching your various posts I can't find out how this was achieved? I'm just curious to undertsand how, exactly, you did it, particularly avoiding the bits of the spokes that seem to intrude into the lip - if you know what I mean (the reason Porsche won't do it at the factory i believe?).
Anyway - if you can give me a quick blow-by-blow that would be great - with close up pics would be even better!
Thanks in advance!

Dealmaker,
Fred had a guy do the lips on his RS, this guy does a lot of work for dealerships.
Somewhere in his thread, he lists the guys name and Phone number, I remember THAT because the guys area code was the same as mine....
and I'm 1.5hrs away from Carlsen Porsche.

Looks straight forward!
Did they put some sort of clear lacquer on after the paint??

Yes, they cleared over them.
They did my Boxster wheels from years ago,
but the painted the whole wheel and left the lip silver

Why not put pin stripe on them? Easily replaceable if you happen to scratch them. And if you get tired of the stripe, simply peel off.
Go to a graphic shop, have them cut you a 1/2" strip of the same color (or close). Better yet, have them cut you a 19" diameter circle so you won't get "wrinkling" on the edges as you put them on.
