Slight OT: '97 Ruf CTR 2

Ruf $
Hey Rocket Man,
I think the car was originally owned by Steve Beddor and then David Tunkel of LA. if so,the car has some very hard miles on it. I know beddor rebuilds his Ruf CTR2 engine every 40 hours for example. That is the maintainence schedule for 100% track time. The Ruf CTR2 pictured is very fast, has a narrowed profile compared to the very wide body track cars. i may be curious enough to talk to the owner since Seal Beach is just around the corner from me. I believe I know the present owner. The history I have listed was provided by someone that knows a great deal about the car. I knew the previous owner also. Umm, this is probably something I would personally not pursue. To get you calibrated on Ruf CTR2 prices, the senior Beddor finally put his Ruf CTR2 Club Sport (8500 mi) up for sale with an "ask" exceeding $250K USD. OK?

Roland, you and I have discussed this car before in detail.
This car is owned by Neil Oaken, who was the former General Manager of McKenna Motors.
The car previously had some problems, but its engine compartment was torn down and extensively refurbished by the top mechanic at McKenna Porsche.
BTW I owe you a call Roland! Sorry I haven't gotten back to you... I totally forgot last week as I was out of town.

Re: Ruf $
Thanks R,
The car just caught my attention and fancy. It looks so evil, like it's the ultimate Porsche from the dark side...I would love to add one to my collection some day.
