- i actually own one of the higher hp S4s
- it is my daily driver
- it does 450hp at the wheels on 93octane on a Mustang dyno - my 997 gt3 did 380whp on the same dyno - however, the S4 does 475 wheel tq versus the GT3 at 285)
- when i did VIR earlier in the season, i friend drove my S4 an we were able to do a few highway pulls on the way driving down
- a major issue is getting the cars in each cars power band to do a pull but i can tell you that if I was anywhere below 5000 rpms in the gt3, my S4 with 400#s of track gear would "dramatically" pull away from the GT3
here is a dyno pull of my S4 (put up the volume and you will get the idea of what is possible with these cars)

all that said, the cars just can't compare on the track - that is why i bought the GT3 - it is amazing
