Help me spec my 2008 GT3, please...
It will be one of the last ones in the U.S., Nov production, Dec delivery. I would like it to be distinctive, but not gawdy. Interested in opinions... I know that ultimately this is a personal choice, but getting multiple perspectives is helpful. By far, the thing that is most in question is color of car/wheels...
'Known' options that I want :
- Xenons
- Sound Package
- Crests in Headrests
- Floor mats
'Unknown':
- paint color (sample to match?) I love white, but not very distinctive
- deviated wheel color
- full leather (is it worth it?)
- colored seatbelts
- foot rest (is it worth bothering)
- Model logo on rear console lid
- Exterior paint on console
- Headlight lense cleaner painted
Thanks!

White, white spokes in the wheels. White stictching, Red or Yellow Belts (Depending on Ceramincs or Steel) not full leather, keep the GT3 logo in the back black, Center console white, paint headlight lense cleaner white.

Based on my 2004 GT3's (Carrara White and Midnight Blue), which have full leather, and a GT3Rs, which does not, I would recommend full leather; it is a nice touch and the seat backs may then be painted to match ext. color. Re: other options, I have CW and it shows the lines of the car beautifully but harder to keep clean than MB. I like the silver factory wheels, but depends on exterior color and personal taste. Seatbelts, nice if consistent w/other options, lighter colors harder to keep clean. I did get the optional pedals and dead pedal on the GT3RS and I really like them. Model logo-depends on ext. color, black stands out on CW but blends in with MB. The ext. paint on console is nice, you could also consider carbon fiber if you get other CF parts, such as door sill, etc. I did not get headlight lense cleaner painted, but personal preference s/be your guide. Other options worth considering-thicker SW, CF (if you like it), deviated stitching (especially on seats). Good luck and enjoy the process !!

i didnt know that seat backs painted exterior color was an option on the GT3 (?)
as far as PCCB, i am one of these people that feels they are quite overkill...and that the standard big brakes are more than sufficient for anything that i will ever do on the street or track... i am coming from a 1998 Carrera S, and have always felt that the standard brakes on my car (not big reds) are great, linear, and plenty

you are one lucky man!
I think I will be ordering a 08 red turbo with red seat backs and red console with carbon package...
I dont know how red looks but when you match the outside color with the seatbelts/seatbacks etc.. it just looks amazing i think
good luck

Forget the sound package, it's a waste of $$
Yes on full leather
If I had the opportunity to reorder,I'd get a small amount of carbon to break up the interior
No on painted wheels. Wheels get nicked and banged. Again a waste of $$
Nav if it's going to be a road car
No matter what you get, you'll love this car.
Good luck and enjoy the wait!!

for me, best interior is : center console in exterior color, rear of the seats in exterior color (exclusive option on gt3), carbon package, carbon door sills, red belts to match the red calipers (or yellow with pccb).

Get something paint to sample if you can. I'd get Lapis blue with PCCB's, great combo
I've never driven the 997 with steel brakes but I have some hours of spirited driving with PCCB's and let me tell you they are beyond amazing.
