Did I get screwed by the dealer or am I being picky?
I bought my Gallardo from a Lambo dealer out of state so I didn't see the car in person unitl it showed up at my door... The truck driver checks every inch of it and marks it down so he isn't liable for any damages that were already there, and he showed me a small ding in the rear bumper which was never disclosed to me. I mentioned it to the dealer and after many days, he got back to me and said his paintless dent guy told him that from the pictures I emailed to him of it, he thought he could heat it up and it would be fixed and it would be about $50-75, so the dealer told me to find a local dent fixer. Someone in my office just had it done so I emailed that guy the pictures, he said, since it's on the bumper part it would be tought but he's have to get behind the dent and therefore if he had to take off the bumper cover it would be more money, it could cost $150, it could cost $500 depending... I haven't gotten a second estimate yet but my question is, should I make the dealer pay for it, whatever the cost may be? And second, does anyone know of a paintless dent guy in the SFV/Ventura County area? I posted a couple pictures of it but it looks worse in person...
And my second and more expensive issue... The car had 5411 miles when I bought it, I put about 300 miles on it, and when I went to my friends tire shop to get my new wheels put on, the first tire came off and the guy said "this tire is no good, it looks like it was driven on while it was flat".... second tire, "this tire is no good, it's worn out, you can see the wear bars"... So at that point I'm pissed, I never examined the tires when I got it, and by just glancing at them, the look fine, but obviously they are not... I had them swap the stock silver wheels with black ones at the dealer before they shipped the car and the picture they sent me of the wheels had different tires on them, so they probably took the tires off the stock wheels and put them on the black ones....
Shouldn't they have noticed that the tires were like that? Shouldn't they have told me about it? When I asked the dealer before I bought it if it had ANY issues, the answer was no.... I know tires don't last that long on exotics, but they should last for more than 5500 miles in most cases... My Porsche has the same exact size tires, but they are Michelin's and I bought that car with 14,000 miles and they still had about 5000 miles left on them, so how could a Lambo wear the tires out that much more?
My friend that owns the tire shop said he thinks a dealer can't sell you a car with tires that bad by law but he's not sure of that... Should I make the dealer do something for me on this or is it normal to get a car with dead tires at 5400 miles?

i disagree. NOT all dealers are crooks. In this case, i would definately get as much money back as you can. OR get a refund for every penny you spent and get a different car.

Go do a search, your typical Gallardo wears out the rear tires around 5k miles, so I dont think that is out of line. Second, I dont think the dealer is responsible unless you talked about tires and they said something different than was actually true. Now, on the rear bumper, I have to agree with you that the dealer is responsible. Make them pay for it wether you have the paintless dent guy fix it or have it professionally fixed. Good luck and nice car.

You are probably out of luck with the tires after another 3000 miles, but the bumper should be covered. Tell them what the dent guy said before you go ahead. Nothing worse then fighting after the fact.

The car was listed and still is on their website and was on ebay with the same description, and in that description, it said "This Gallardo E-Gear Coupe has traveled just a short 5379 miles and needs nothing!"
I just went back and looked at that this morning... It doesn't say needs nothing but the tires are bad...

I definitely am going to do both, I just won't be happy unless I at least attempt to have them fix the probs, and if they don't, I will still enjoy the car and at least I can say I tried and I know better next time.

I sent the salesman an email, and a few hours later I spoke to him. He said he's going to speak with the general manager who wasn't in today and "make sure i'm happy" so it looks like they are good people after all but we'll see what the final outcome is, and i'll address the ding at that time...

I think you should make the dealer pay for it any which way. They always make money of you no matter what, so if you are unhappy about the state of the condition in which you received the vehicle, you should let them know and allow them to make up for it.

I suggest taking it back immediately and getting a 6-speed.
Throw some PS2's on it, fix the dent if it bothers you, and enjoy. Buying a used car is always a mixed bag, and there's almost always going to be some little detail that'll crop up like that. Unless you're buying a concourse car with paperwork and such, just deal with it and get on with life. As dealer experiences go, I'd say it's a pretty good one compared to some of the nightmares I've been through.
