Supercar Valley - Lots of pics!

Last week of October I decided to drive to the Lamborghini factory to check out whether I had chosen the correct color combination for my upcoming LP640 Roadster. While we were there we also visited a few other manufacturers.

SUMMARY:
November 7
Home - Modena Italy: 1099km, left at 9AM and arrived 10hrs later.

November 8
Modena - Sant'Agatha - Campogalliano - San Cesario sul Panaro - Sant'Agatha - Modena: factory visits etc (see pics)

November 9
Modena Italy - Porrentruy Switzerland: +/- 550km, left at 9PM and arrived 9hrs later (we did 3hrs over 25km, if you ever go there try avoiding the outer ring of Milan!)
Porrentruy Switzerland - home: 670km, left at 7.30PM and arrived 5.30hrs later.

We did around 2400km in 3 days. My Porsche 997 turbo did an awesome job, it was an excellent compagnon for the long trip If ever someone plans to buy a 996/997 make SURE you go for the adaptive sportseats, they absolutely rock!

And off he goes ...

The Reventon is an excellent example of a car that you need to see in real life before approving or disapproving it.
When I saw a picture of that car the very first time I thought "WTF?!?". When I saw it on video it wasn't that much better. And then I got to see it in the flesh ...
I adore the Murci but really ... this is no comparison, the Reventon has SOOO much presence it's simply ridiculous. It seemed to have the exact same kind of response on all the people that were there that moment.

2nd stop: Pagani
I was only able to shoot a few pics of the Zonda F Roadster in their showroom. Luckily it was a special car, the one with the full carbon body. In the workshop they were doing the last checks on car number 86 (a coupé) ... this was the most beautiful configuration I have ever seen IRL or on picture. Car number 85 was ready for delivery, not my taste but special nevertheless: combo of carbon with yellow body bodyparts and the wing of the Zonda S.
What stands out the most on the Zonda's IMHO is their interior. For me it's one of the best in the industry.

3rd stop: B-Engineering
Very friendly people working here. Unfortunately the Edonis wasn't there, it was at a car Show in another city.
We were able to shoot 2 pics of what should become the next Edonis:

Apart from that they have a few vintage Bugatti's/Ferrari's and lambo's in maintenance. One of them was pretty special: the prototype Bugatti EB110:

Another Bugatti:

And finally a Lamborghini Miura SV:

4th stop: Automobili Bugatti
As everyone surely knows this factory is closed. Apparently it has been bought by a clothing manufacturer but they don't seem to boher much about the facility at this time. What is even worse is that the testing track behind the old factory is completely wasting away
This is how it looks like nowadays:

5th stop: Back to the Lamborghini factory ... I wanted to buy some stuff from the store but I completely forgot about it because of all the commotion around the Reventon
Result: a great poster and a Murciélago Roadster in brushed steel:

(my apologies for the flash)

That's it. We also had a visit planned to the Museo Ferruccio Lamborghini but we were deadtired and it was already getting late. We had a long way back home the next day so we head back to the hotel.
