Its my understanding that it will be no time soon. I think the next thing that will happen is a small facaelift and that wont happen for a few more years according to Lamborghini of Ohio

Isn't the lifespan usually about 5-6 years? I thought the 06s where the 'facelift'.

Agree with that. In my understanding, the Murci will be the first to go as it has been around longer than the G. The Gallardo will get a face lift some time mid of this year and then get a replacement.. That's what I have heard from Lamborghini New Delhi.

The Diablo was from 91-01 so I have a feeling they will keep the murci till around 2011 or 2012. The Murci SV which lambo ohio confirmed is infact coming is supposed to be the last model of the Murci to come out so figure it will be out for a few years. (that is unless they start using the murci to test the next engine like they did with the Diablo) I didnt think the gallardo was getting its facelift this soon. Its only 4 or 5 years old isnt it? wasnt 03 the first year or was it 04?

Gallardo's first year of production was model year 04. It is my understanding the face lift (and power bump) is coming around the middle of this year; so I would assume it would show up starting with the 09 model year cars, which would be 5 years after the model's debut. Since the Murci is older and first up to be replaced, I would think the G is about half-way through its life-cycle. But what the hell do I know?

Kevin, since when did you become the expert! Too much time on Lambopower lately? Haha. They better not be doing a facelift anytime soon or that will throw a wrench in my plan...

I think life cycle will shorten from 10 years...
Ferrari life cycles are circa 5 years so Lambo needs to keep up especially since the G accounts for most of the bottom line

Ferrari life cycles are longer than five years, there mid life cycle refreshes especially on the V8 cars are extensive. But it is not a ground up new car.

348 became the 355
360 became the 430

550 became the 575M etc.

Watch it. I was wondering when you were going to come on here and start seeing my posts. And yes, december was a slow month with January just now starting to get rolling so ive been a post ***** on lambopower. And im only saying what ive heard from there, harvey at Lambo Ohio, not to mention road & track, car and driver, and automobile magazine, not to mention my countless other forums!
...wow, suddenly I feel I really need to get a life

But seriously though, a power bump is likely seeing as the Gallardo SL has more power, Harvey said they wouldnt change the appearance at all...

On a side note Kevin, I did see some posts today about people going from a 997 TT to a gallardo, so it does go both ways!

Also the mags and the forums would be teaming with spy shots of the facelifted Gallardo if there was one on the horizon

360 to 430 jump is not really a refresh as they changed more than just looks...
Facelift is more what Benz does, e.g. on the prior S class they changed the headlights from opaque to see-through

355 to 360 was a new model. Even Ferrari acknowledges it is not a new car.

What is the power difference on the SL? How is this achieved? Guess I will have to see what they have in store for the Gallardo. SL is tempting but no Verde Ithaca! Major problem.
