You have now eliminated 20-30% (a guess) of the horsepower loss because the whole system to operate the front wheels is gone. Less drag = more horsepower to the wheels. The power is transferred from the engine to the rear differential first. The rear tranny is what was connected to the front differential. Now the connection point spins freely so all the power stays at the rear.

I don't know if I will track the car. I will definitely see how it drifts in a corner. I basically picked it up from the dealer and took it for a quick run up the freeway to make sure everything felt right. You can definitely tell that the car is different. It feels MUCH lighter due in large part to the steering wheel turning much easier since half the components that were connected to it are now gone. The Murcie is a heavy a** car to begin with and that heaviness was always felt through the steering wheel. It now feels significantly more nimble. I will know more as I drive the car. I will keep you guys posted!

The other good thing to mention is that everything CAN be bolted back on by the dealer back to stock in one day. It's basically a mechanical function on a Murcie with a fixed drive ratio front to back. It's not like Porsche's system that directs power to each individual wheel when sensing slip. So if I ever wanted to return it to stock it would simply be a matter of taking it to the dealer and having them bolt the system back on the car.

The engine no longer has to drive a complete drive prop shaft and front tranny to turn the front wheels. That's why quoted horsepower is either quoted at the crank or at the wheels since the difference is the horsepower loss the engine incurs to turn everything before it gets to the wheels.
