Custom Murcielago Exhaust Tips *Photos*
There's no other way to put this. My new custom tips are BAD A** (IMO). I have known Ron Gibson and his son Shawn from the powerboating world for a number of years. As many of you probably know Gibson Exhaust systems are very well known amongst domestic and foreign car and truck owners, however, they have never really paid any attention to the high end exotic market ... until now!
I discussed what my vision was for some bad-to-the-bone aftermarket tips. I wanted them "in your face" so to speak and they delivered. I believe they are either 5 or 5.25 inch diameter side by side pipes. The length of the barrels are 12 or 14 inches (as opposed to stock 8 inches). The pipes are single bent pipes and the actual tips are double straight walled (no perforated sound absorbtion holes). The end result is visually awesome and the sound is 25% louder/better than stock!
The tips are not available yet as they are working out pricing. I've been told that they will sell for under/around $1200.00 which I think is a steal compared to Larini/Tubi, etc. The workmanship is second to none and I personally think they look better! I went straight from Gibson's headquarters to Vegas and put 800 miles on the car over four days in extreme heat (100+ degrees). They held up perfectly!
