I'm wondering. If you find a car that you really want and after running a car fax, an accident comes up. Would you walk away? Still buy the car? Demand a discount? If so, How much? The accident was very minor and the repair is perfect. Thanks, Oleg.

 

if they didnt tell you it was in an accident and you found one, id walk away. or if your really set on it i'd try to wheel and deal as much as possible.

look for the car to be discounted accordingly. carfax will report an accident if a police report is filed, even for a very minor fender bender. on exotics this definitely will hurt the resale so i'd look for a nice discount, but i wouldn't walk away without seeing how good a deal i could get.

 

Or you file the accident with your insurance company.

Cause I know of quite a few vehicles that have had accidents with out the police report, and they show up on the CarFax.

But remember, that's the catch. It only shows reported accidents.
