Ok, so I have finally decided on the acquisition of a Superleggera. I have been a Bimmer lover (and still am), love my M6 and want to add to the fold. I am looking for a Gallardo Superleggera. I get it that the LP-560/4 is a better performer etc etc, but my intent is not to track the car. I love the carbon fiber and the over polish of the SL.

So the hunt is on. I have a few questions?

1. where are the best places to look? I have looked on eBay, made a few dealer trips but so far I am a bit underwhelmed. Am I looking in the right places?

2. Color is key... i am looking for a Gray or White or Orange or Yellow in that order of diminishing preference. Carbon ceramic brakes preferred but not required since I am not going to track the car. I do want Navigation, eGear and back up camera.

3. What is a reasonable price to pay?... seems like they are all over the place and continue to fall like many exotics--I can't believe there are Ferrari F430s with low mileage in the $150-170K range.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Its cool... its an acquired taste. They are carbon fiber from 360Forged. Lots of positive comments on them... but to each his/her own.

Sweet M6! I too love the look (especially the interior) of the Superleg - GL finding the right one - be patient - IMHO we have at least a few more months of falling prices.

This is awesome... thanks guys... I agree, I suspect the prices will continue to fall sort of a bummer for all exotics and high end. No doubt a buyers market but still... I def want the G SL...

 

Did you buy your M6 at Rahal? As far as a SL I would check with Erik Clover at GP Imports in Portland. Hes a great guy and will give you a mega deal on a SL.

I am thinking about picking up one as well but I really want a 6 speed--they seem very difficult to find. Does anyone know of one for sale? Thanks,

Nice choice, that orange one at Motorcars looks nice. I'm a fan of the red interior on your M6, I have a silver 325i with the red interior.
