YES, but personally I'd wait till I found an 06 that hit your price range.

sounds good to me. I know the 04's have egear problems and no front lift, but why 06 over an 05?

That depends, I went looking for a high serial number 04, the one I found had less than 5000 miles, I have no need for a lift, and it is lighter and from what I determined easier to mod. My car shifts better than a 07 car I test drove.

You will love the car.. go for it! Only problem is that if you want to daily drive it, then depending on your commute.. this could make you hate the car.

Edit:

E-gear issue can be fixed with a flash upgrade. Most used Gallardos with 10-15k miles should have had this done already.

06's front lift is better than the 05's. 05's is in the shock and the 06's a seperate system. 06 has shorter gear ratios, more HP different exhaust very slightly different interior and a couple of other differences.

gallardo is a great car and it can be driven everyday... if you dont mind the attention... I sold mine (05) cause it drew to much attention for me,, and I did not use the car much... I would buy another one.. but if I do buy another it will be a spyder with Egear.

That is the key. Go drive the Gallardo --- for a few hours. Park it, go on backroads, highway, etc.

I personally would only have a Gallardo IF IF IF i could also have some sort of 911 to daily. The Gallardo is an AWESOME car but to me, just cant be driven like a Porsche can. It is much more of an 'experience' too --- be ready for pictures, stoplight races, questions, haters lol....

PS: Gladwyne, PA? I am in Downingtown --- small world.

Yes, Gladwyne PA, and at least around here, a Gallardo, or a Ferrari for that matter does not draw much if any attention, and it is almost always positive, but if you have never driven a car that draws attention, it does take some getting used to.

Yep 06 also has Callistos. Maybe not standard, but equipped most of the time.
Did clear bonnet come in 05?

Anyway, the lift, wheels, bonnet, HP, gears, etc make 06 the best "value"!

Not saying thats its negative attention by any means, but it will def draw a crowd at Wawa

As for the area, def different in Gladwyne than Downingtown, but the day i borrowed my boys orange Gallardo i was like a celeb around here! Amazing car....just a whole nother level over my old 911 (That i thought drew quite a lot of attention).

What color is your G?

A pretty mild silver, but it has maya wheels, side skirts, rear wing, and a lp560 front bumper, plus a pretty loud fabspeed exhaust.
